Security Latch's top cross arm is 1'' square, 14 gauge steel tubing. Electric weld construction for strength and stability. The entire surface is coated with a 1/16'' layer of durable Plastisol, a tough, pliable covering that protects your doors from scratches and dents. Will not peel or flake off. The leg brace is 1/4" x 1'' thick steel. Be sure to check with local fire jurisdictions to assure compliance in your area.
