  Grip style of the upper half:
    grip pattern of convex diamonds, 1/16" wide.
There are flat platforms that lay between, and perpendicular to the
  handle portion and the mounting prongs, forming a base and stop
  for the mounting prongs. The flat platforms butt up agains the
  outside of the door then the handle is in place. The mounting
  prongs extend out off the platforms and each has a hole for
  mounting to the side of the lockbar. On the right hand lift,
  the prongs are closer to the left edge of the platform as the
  prongs are pointed away from you. This is how you can visually
  identify the handing if you are looking at the lift.
